You will want to make sure that your loved one is taken care of and does not get injured due to  negligence or neglect. You want to know that the agency you choose has a good hiring process.  More importantly, check to make sure they correct issues with poor caregivers swiftly. Be sure  to ask these questions. 

1. What process do you use to hire and assess your caregivers? 
2. What does your pre-employment screening look like? 
3. Do you have additional screening throughout the year? 
4. How do you evaluate your caregivers and how often? 
5. What training do you provide your caregivers? 
6. What is the process for reporting non-compliance? 
7. How do you respond to emergencies? 
8. May I have 2-3 references? 

 Care

You will want to ensure you leave your loved one in the hands of someone who is not only  skilled but who is also compatible with your loved one. Be sure to ask these questions. 

1. What specific services do you provide? 
2. Has your agency won any awards? 
3. Will we have the same caregiver/caregivers every time? 
4. What happens if the caregiver does not show up on time or at all? 
5. What if my parent does not approve of the caregiver or wants a new one? 6. What does your company communication look like?
